📋 HOW CLAYBOURNE HOUSE WORKS
Active Recovery Requirement
Everyone at Claybourne House is actively participating in their recovery. This means: Attending 12-step meetings, outpatient treatment (IOP), or other recovery services. Engaging in productive activities: employment, school, or volunteering. No sitting on the sidelines — your recovery is everyone’s priority.
Community Expectations
We maintain a substance-free community. All residents commit to: Zero tolerance for drugs, alcohol, and non-prescribed medications. Any resident can request a drug test of any other resident at any time (peer accountability is part of our culture). Respect for housemates and shared spaces. Participation in household chores and cleaning (houses are kept very clean). Mandatory attendance at weekly house meetings. Support for other residents’ recovery journeys.
